Ladies Day 2022

While the boys were away, the ladies were at play!

This year covid wasn’t going to lock us down,  however mother nature decided to try her best. Our plans of a marquee and home game rugby were squashed and were switched for rugby via live stream and a move into the Green Room.

Not to let the lack of a home game stop us, the Green Room was wonderfully decorated in our  “Xmas in July” theme, we had a huge grazing table and delicious indonesian food from our friend Made, we were happy.

Thanks to BarTV and the ability to livestream the games throughout the room, the ladies were able to cheer the men on from the comfort of the Green Room while enjoying a beverage or two.

Once the rugby had wrapped up and some lucky door prizes were given away, DJ Rhanni busted out our favourite tunes and the dance floor was on fire.  Approximately 130 ladies enjoying our amazing Green Room views and facility.  A great day was had by all!

Queen of the Green
A new concept introduced last year was Queen of the Green. Ladies could purchase a ticket into the draw to become our Queen of the Green for the duration of Ladies Day. This years Queen Yvette Cavanagh was treated to breakfast for 2 at local café and sponsor, Cuppa Joes and then was primped and pampered at another local sponsor, Beauty and the Fox. Desley and the team had our Queen looking stunning and ready for a day of royal treatment including regular bowing and bragging rights. An inauguration was held where last year’s Queen, Jude Tynan handed over the crown to Yvette. Yvette didn’t wipe the smile from her face the whole day and assured us she enjoyed her day of royal treatment thoroughly.

Special mentions go to our organising committee: Carla Andersen, Sonya Chapman, Jenny Hawes, Amanda McKenzie, Melissa Priest and Eliza Tresidder. The ladies worked to bring the day together and run as smoothly as possible.  It was such a great day!

LADIES DAY 2021

We are very happy to report that our Ladies Day 2.0 event went ahead last Saturday and was a resounding success.

Thank you to everyone who came along in their Touch of Green ready to have a great day.  Our spirits were high and it was amazing to see so many familiar smiling faces keen to catch up after the lockdown period.

We didn’t have rugby (cricket instead!) but we had the wonderful Gina and Terry who entertained us with their musical talent and had the dance floor in full swing.  Thank you Gina and Terry we had an absolute ball and everyone is raving about how much fun they had on the dance floor.

Thank you to all of our sponsors involved in the day. Cuppa Joes for treating our Queen of the Green Jude Tynan and her husband Terry to a delicious breakfast before Jude headed over to the Beauty And The Fox salon to have her hair and makeup done – thank you Beauty and the Fox. Jude you were a beautiful first Queen of The Green, we hope you enjoyed your special day!

Thank you to Amanda McKenzie and team for setup and running the bar and catering on the day.  Thanks to Styx Brewery,  Kellie from Lillies n Limes for our grazing boxes and Banlaw for sponsoring our pizzas at the end of the day. Thank you to our prize donations, Jewellery Affair, NCYC, and many more, thanks to our volunteers who helped set up and check everyone in, and everyone else who contributed to the day.

A HUGE thank you to Jenny Hawes who put so much time and effort into organising the day (twice!).  What a success Jen, thank you.

What a fabulous day!  Thank you for your support.  We cannot wait to do it all again next year!
