Welcome to Season 2023

Junior player registrations are now open and we look forward to welcoming all our existing players back for another year of rugby and we also welcome new players to join our club.

Age Groups

This season the Greens will be fielding teams in all Junior age groups. For new players the age you turn in 2023 is your designated age group. All registered players will receive a 2023 training shirt, shorts, playing socks and player exclusive hoodie as part of registration.

Registration Details:

Please register via RugbyXplorer. To register you need to log in > Find a Club > Search for Merewether Carlton Junior Rugby Club > Select the profile you want to register > Select Role: Player, Registration Type: XVs Juniors or XV Girls for our U14/U16/U18 girls-only Winter Comp. Duration: Season.

Next, you need to confirm all details are correct and upload a recent head shot photo. It is very important make sure player height and weight measurements are accurate. This season Rugby Australia is focused on players meeting height/weight guidelines and if your child falls on either side of the recommended size range for their age group your child may need to get clearance before playing. Active Kids Vouchers are accepted – please add during checkout process.

Family Discount: if you are registering siblings you will be prompted after registering the first child to register your next child. If you plan to apply the family discount you must register all players in the same session, if you leave the app the ability to apply the discount later will not be available. Family discount is $20 for any additional children after the first child is registered.

All players will receive a training shirt, shorts, socks and a hoodie, prior to registering you might want to consider what sizes you wish to select, please keep in mind that kids may grow in the off season! To select sizes you need to use the drop down for each item. You also need to enter the quantity of 1 on each individual item to complete this section. Please note the 2023 gear will arrive closer to the season start. Continue steps through to payment and when registration is complete you will receive a confirmation email from RugbyXplorer. We cannot wait to have all our players back on the field playing the game they love! In the coming weeks Team Managers will reach out to their squads and provide details for training and gear hand out. Round 1 kicks off on Saturday March 25 for our XV season and on April 28 for our girls season.
