Last Sunday a group of fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, and mates took to the field at Townson Oval in great spirits to raise awareness for mental health.

The teams and their unique playing kits were all set and whether you were a Warrior, Joker, Bandit, Barbarian, Lunatic or Mauler you had the same thing in common, to dust off the boots and have a great day.

You couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they relished the chance to pull that jersey on and run (or walk) out on to Townson once more.

The community came out in support – wives, daughters, children, grandchildren to watch the spectacle that was 90 men having the time of their lives revisiting days gone by and celebrating their love of rugby.

Thank you to everyone involved in making the day happen including our wonderful sponsors, referees – Greg Pearce and Nick Charters, Dr John Prickett for being on standby and Stewart Hazell for the wonderful photos.  Massive thanks to Jocky Wilson!!
