Sponsors Day 2019

As the cold beer flowed and the canapés were being served, the inclement weather had set in, but it wasn’t enough to stop our Inaugural Sponsors Day at the Green Room. Even though the weather was grim we still received exceptional support from both the Junior & Seniors sponsors with approximately 115 sponsors making themselves available for the day.

We are incredibly well positioned this season with the support shown from our sponsors and this was evident on Saturday. We are very humbled to have such a tight rugby community. This was a wonderful opportunity to give back to the sponsors and allow them the opportunity to enjoy the day from the comforts of the Green Room.

Thank you to our Senior and Junior Sponsors.

Long-term sponsor PKF

PKF
Whilst PKF is a traditional rugby league firm, with its support for the sport launching back to the beginning of its 40-year history, it’s not your typical accounting firm. It’s a whole lot more.

Andrew Beattie, the firm’s Business Advisory Services leader, set the record straight, “whilst our relationship with the Greens started because a client asked us to get involved, it has evolved to be a sponsorship that the firm gets wholeheartedly behind. Our kids play for the Greens, Saturday afternoon games are littered with familiar faces and it’s a team that plays an integral role in the community.”

PKF is a firm with purpose. We get up every day to help our clients choose their future, the way the Merewether Greens get up every day to help the community forge a future. And, in the same way the Greens are more than just a sports club, PKF is more than just an accounting firm.

The crest emblazoned on the shirts of the Merewether Greens stand for strength and wisdom. It is these attributes that PKF brings to its client relationships, using our wisdom to advise them on far more than their tax return, to ensure that they have the strength in their business to be able to grow.

PKF, a proud support of the Greens.

PKF. Where smart business goes to grow.

ZENVIRON STEPS UP AS MAJOR SPONSOR FOR THE GREENS

After completing a two-year corporate sponsorship at the Bledisloe Cup level, we have decided to step up as the major corporate sponsor of the Merewether Carlton Rugby Club at the World Cup level on a two-year agreement.

Our relationship with the Greens is seen as a successful one based on the professional management of the club and the way club and its supporters represent themselves in the community and through their successes on and off the field.

We are keen to see what 2019 will bring at an exciting time, with the new club house being opened and by all reports a strong player list across all grades.

Zenviron is a highly experienced, full-service Balance of Plant contractor specialising in the design and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia and New Zealand.

Led by some of the top minds in the industry, we bring together experience, innovation and commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the risks and impacts of climate change.

Our dedication to reducing greenhouse gas and the risks and impacts of climate change is driven by our commitment to provide industry leading solutions to large scale solar and wind power markets. We employ over 120 staff with majority of those from Newcastle and the Hunter.

Having this involvement with MCRC, we like to think that we are “Keeping the Greens, Green”, and we are looking forward to getting down to the games on a Saturday arvo and cheering on the Men’s and Women’s teams to victory. Go Greens.
